COMPANY PROFILE:
The hiring organization is a benefits administrator for multiple unions, supporting teamsters and their families since the 1940s. It is a trust fund set up for the sole and exclusive benefit of the employees (participants) of contributing employers. They are self-funded and provide a comprehensive array of benefits covering over 42,000 lives throughout several states. Their payor and other affiliations include BlueCross BlueShield, CVS/Caremark, Delta Dental, Dental Network of America, EyeMed Vision Care, and MDLIVE.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will work in a fully remote position on a flexible (self-set) schedule of 10 to 15 hours per week.
This position will review approximately 200 claims per month, all of which are denials.
The duty of the physician is to verify if the denial is valid and, if it is not, advise how to best dispute it to achieve coverage for the plan member.
The organization uses an EHR and the physician will be provided with all necessary resources to work from home.
REQUIREMENTS:
- valid state medical license
- Board Eligibility or Certification, any field (FM or IM preferred)
- previous chart review experience preferred
- 5 years practice experience preferred
