Job Summary
The Dining Area Host is a vital member of our Chumash Enterprises team, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring seamless dining experiences for our valued customers.
About the Role:
- Guest Service Expertise: Deliver outstanding customer service, utilizing proper greeting and departure phrases, to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Table Maintenance: Remove soiled dishes, cups, glassware, and silverware from tables, transferring them to the kitchen for prompt cleaning.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Effectively clean tabletops, seating areas, and floors using approved cleaning agents to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Table Settings: Replenish linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room as needed to ensure an impeccable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up tables and arrange furniture during opening duties at applicable outlets.
- Greet guests, offer water, and provide a complimentary assortment of bread to enhance their dining experience.
- Remove plates as requested by guests, servers, and management.
- Assist with serving coffee and non-alcoholic beverages when necessary.
- Perform nightly restocking duties and cleaning of stations to maintain efficiency.
- Stay knowledgeable about food selections offered and service standards to provide informed recommendations.
- Provide information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc., to increase levels of guest service.
- Collaborate with all Team Members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Clean counters, beverage stations, and other equipment at applicable outlets.
- Contribute to receiving and storing food supplies as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years old or older to sell or serve distilled spirits. Alternatively, individuals under 21 but at least 18 years old may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.
- Certifications: Register in the RBS Portal, complete training from an authorized provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days.
- ServSafe Certification: Successfully complete ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
- Experience: Previous experience in guest services is desirable.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications, email, and internet usage is required.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
- Gaming License: Apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Decision Making, Interpersonal Understanding, Oral Communication, Written Communication, and Stress Tolerance are key skills required for this role.
