This role is integral to our operations, assisting the Hardscape & Landscape Project Foreman in executing all aspects of landscape construction projects. About Church Hill Landscapes: Nate Carr established Church Hill Landscapes in 2002 out of a deep-seated passion for landscaping and horticulture. As a graduate of the University of Vermont in 1997, his ambition has been to create diverse and beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces for clients across Vermont. We're a 25-30 person team of gardeners, lawn- and snow-care professionals masons, and landscape designers who build and maintain creative landscapes for our customers. Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of landscape projects
- Review and execute project plans and schedules in collaboration with the Project Foreman.
- Ensure all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate various tools and equipment, including heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Assist the Project Foreman in meeting and exceeding yearly crew production goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work with schedules and deadlines.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Preferred experience in the landscape/construction industry.
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
Compensation
Starting wage for this position ranges from $24-$26/hr.
