Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parish Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role requires an individual who can manage various tasks, maintain effective communication, and contribute to a productive work environment.
Duties
- Handle incoming calls and greet guests, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide administrative support to team members.
- Manage the master calendar
- Maintain parishioner data through the software system.
- Coordinate with volunteer groups.
- Maintain and manage parish website and marquee.
- Create flyers and documents for upcoming events
- Prepare required certificates and documents for Sacraments.
- Manage Sacramental Books.
- Prepare weekly bulletin and inserts.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, One Drive, Excel, and Word Doc.
- Proficiency with Canva and Publisher.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
