What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Associate position at CHURCH OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN (THE)?
The Church of the Good Samaritan is seeking administrative and communications support Mondays through Fridays, part-time, at our offices in Paoli, PA. The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced and organized individual who is proactive, an intuitive problem solver, and a collaborative team player. This role includes a variety of administrative responsibilities, serving as the initial point of contact with our parishioners, and church office operations. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, self-motivated, able to juggle multiple tasks, and dedicated to meeting the needs of the parish and colleagues.
The most desirable candidate will also be able to support the Creative Office with skills in Adobe InDesign or the ability to learn the program, as well as with proofreading, editing, and communications initiatives.

- Assist with monthly business account credit card reconciliation

- Capability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently, and efficiently follow through on programs and projects
- Adaptable and flexible with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign desired
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with answering phones
- Monthly business credit card reconciliations and support to the Financial Office
- Managing Baptisms and communication with families
- Assist with church-wide events, plus funeral and wedding preparations.
- Managing prayer requests and prayer team email
- Oversee the copy room, service, and supplies
- Managing Connect and Serve cards and direct follow up
- Assist with Welcome Team initiatives
CREATIVE TEAM DUTIES
- Proofread Creative Team materials
- Assist with weekly creation of service leaflets and wrappers in InDesign
- Print weekly service leaflets and wrappers; occasional help with collating/stuffing
- Produce weekly Prayers of the People, Welcome signs, and Readings
- Assist with weekly email communications through Mailchimp
- Assist with weekly website updates
- Assist with creation/implementation of weekly social media posts; monitor responses
- Assist with weekly updates for video/atrium screen content in InDesign
- Assist with organization/management of photography archives
In-office presence required, within the hours of 9 am and 3 pm. Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
