JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Leads community outreach initiatives to increase awareness of and foster support for organizations mission and challenges relating to it. Develops and implements strategies to engage community members as volunteers, particularly to build advocacy and grassroots leadership efforts. Organize events, rallies, and forums. Builds partnerships with business, government, and other community organizations to advance outreach goals.

- Identify donors to contact regarding spike up gifts, lapse donors, large donors, which donors may have a story, etc. for the Development team on a weekly basis
- Personalize thank you notes to all donors
- Identify new church donations and alert member and Community Outreach of the contact person
- Assist Development office with duties as assigned or needed
- Organizes events, rallies and forums
- Builds partnerships with businesses, government and other community organizations

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing and the ability to lift 20 pounds is required. This requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are during standard business hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred plus 1 year related experience.
