DescriptionJOB FUNCTION : Provide access to information and supportive programming for families in Clay County using a Family Resource Center (FRC) model. Family Resource Centers are community-based hubs that focus on strengthening families by offering services, support, and opportunities that are responsive to community needs and interests. This position would work collaboratively with the Family Advisory Board (FAB) and community partners to focus on navigation of accessing resources for families while working to build community through connections. The primary responsibility of this navigator position will be to provide access to information and supportive programming for families in Clay County. This position will focus on providing family-centered and strengthening navigation support for families looking to access services, resources, and supports. This position will work independently by regularly providing navigation services during the evening and on weekends.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS : Minimum Associate's degree in a human service-related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience. Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurancePreferred Bachelor's degree in social work or another human services-related field Lived experience or a history working with individuals with low incomes Existing connections to the Clay County community and resources Community liaison, social work, and / or navigation experience 2 years of experience strengthening family systems Ability to work independently and to work with families and individuals in crisis situationsAMERICANS WITH DISABILITY SPECIFICATIONS : PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
