Field Technician

Requirements:

-18 years old
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
-Read, write, and communicate in English
-Able to lift 50lbs
-Physically fit and capable of working in all weather conditions
-Must be able to interact respectfully with other staff members, Management, and members of the public.

Position Summary:

This is a seasonal part-time with the potential to hire on full-time entry level position that starts in March and ends in October. The position does not require experience or specific education. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and be willing to learn. We will perform a drug test, background check, and driving record check. This is a physically active, fast-paced position and requires the ability to be on your feet the entire shift as well as move quickly and with purpose from task to task. Applicant should be self-motivated and trustworthy. All candidates must be able to lift 50lbs throughout a shift. Must be available for designated shift of 7:00am to 3:30pm every weekday. There may be a need to work a 2-hour evening shift periodically.

Responsibilities

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment free of hazards, dangers, and obstacles.
The job involves driving the county, treating weeds and mosquito larvae sources.
Receive training, correction and suggestions from supervisors with a good attitude.
Load and unload herbicide, adulticide and larvicide materials on and off of carts and trucks.
Lift up-to 50lbs correctly and safely throughout the workday.
Perform duties between 45° and 105° Fahrenheit in all types of weather.
Must be available to work 7:00am-3:30pm every weekday with the chance of an evening shift periodically.
Position is dependent on candidate's ability to meet all physical requirements of the position.
Position is at-will employment, there is no guaranteed contract for continued employment.
Promotions, Raises and Bonuses may be given based on merit, attitude and efficiency.
