We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising the construction site, coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Primary Duties:
- Supervise the construction site and ensure that all work is being completed according to plans, specifications, and codes.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that all workers and subcontractors comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including any delays or issues that may arise.
- Review all construction-related documentation, such as contracts, invoices, and change orders, ensuring that they are within budget and meet project specifications
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
- Interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Manage and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Liaise with inspection authorities and conduct regular reviews of the construction site to ensure quality control and identify any potential issues.
- Ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years’ commercial construction experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and similar programs
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate the competencies of achieving results, communication, collaboration, and building teamwork
- Proficiency in scheduling software and photography.
- Firm understanding of the commercial construction industry and processes
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment
