What you'll be doing
As a member of the US AML team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and managing risk. As an AML Specialist, you’ll perform enhanced due diligence across the US customer segments, with a focus on Alternative Investment Funds. You’ll engage with various stakeholders including business, sanctions, reputational risk, and legal teams to determine the correct course of action. You’ll also maintain and update procedures and job aids, offering suggestions for best practices and efficiencies. You’ll foster strong, collaborative relationships with members of US AML, Enterprise AML, and US Risk Management.
You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Enhanced Due Diligence – Perform thorough due diligence across US customer segments, focusing on Alternative Investment Funds.
Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with business, sanctions, reputational risk, and legal teams to determine appropriate actions.
Procedure Maintenance – Maintain and update procedures and job aids, suggesting improvements for regulatory compliance.
Relationship Building – Foster strong relationships with US AML, Enterprise AML, and US Risk Management teams.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
