What You'll Be Doing

As an integral member of the Campus Talent Team, you’ll work on full scope recruitment, onboarding, and programming for early career candidates and employees.

As Talent Acquisition and Operations Coordinator, Early Talent you will support the development and execution of CIBC's early talent programs, including internships and graduate development initiatives. You will coordinate interview schedules, candidate communications, program activities, and ensure a positive experience for early career candidates. You have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting early career professionals.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Some seasonal travel throughout the year is required.

How You'll Succeed

  • Data Management and Recruitment Support: Provide administrative support for early talent programs, including scheduling interviews, managing communications, and maintaining records.
  • Program Coordination and Event Management: Assist in the planning and execution of early talent programs, including recruitment, onboarding, and development activities. Coordinate logistics for campus recruitment events, career fairs, and information sessions.
  • Relationship Building: Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to understand hiring needs and align program activities. Build and maintain relationships with university career centers, faculty, and student organizations.
  • Candidate Engagement: Provide support and guidance to early career candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Confidentiality – Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and sound judgment in sensitive situations involving confidential information.
  • Organization – Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks, calendar, emails and phone calls in an efficient and effective manner. Time management is critical to role.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed/as team priorities shift.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, or a related field. It’s an asset if you have a campus recruitment or early talent programs background and are familiar with applicant tracking systems.

California residents — your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employment 

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package.  This role has an expected salary range of $60,000 - $65,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.  The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays,  and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members. 

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
