US Technology, Infrastructure & Innovation (US TI&I) enables the continuous transformation of our Bank by accelerating the shift to digital, strengthening operational resilience, simplifying what we do, improving CIBC's speed to market and protecting our Bank's assets.
The teams work to maximize the investment in resources and technology while building an appropriate balance between high-touch client service and our fiduciary responsibility to protect CIBC, our clients, and our shareholders from undue risk.
JOB PURPOSE
You will join CIBC’s US Technology Regulatory Controls team to conduct risk and control assessments across various technology domains and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards. Collaborating with technology partners, you will advise on control design and assess control maturity. You will also address technology control issues across all lines of defense, ensuring effective resolution and reporting. With expertise in risk treatment methodologies, you will contribute to the development and execution of technology risk programs, including governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and data management. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on enhancing control awareness and managing risks within the US Technology organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collaborate with peers and managers to ensure effective technology compliance with laws and regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of technology and security risks to identify and address gaps.
- Lead updates to policies and procedures to reduce regulatory risks.
- Support CIBC's Control Framework for regulatory compliance and issue management.
- Oversee risk and control assessments, evaluating risks and control effectiveness.
- Engage in complex projects to identify risk and control issues.
- Manage internal audits and support annual audit plan activities.
- Recommend improvements for control testing governance and report on findings.
- Develop technology risk reporting using automation and analytics.
- Collaborate with leaders to address control gaps and improve processes.
- Foster a culture of risk management and promote diversity and inclusion.

Compensation
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $104,600- $140,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
