Job Description :
The Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a vital link between clinical staff and information technology teams, leveraging technology to enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing clinical systems, training healthcare staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The ideal candidate combines clinical expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare information systems.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in EHR configuration and optimization.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and interoperability protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Familiarity with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Soft Skills :
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with clinical teams to identify needs and implement clinical information systems.
Analyze clinical workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose system enhancements.
Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff to promote effective use of systems.
Extract, analyze, and interpret clinical data to inform decision-making and improve care delivery.
Ensure clinical systems comply with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and HITECH.
Act as a liaison between clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure effective communication.
