Quality Inspector-Automotive Plastics-Afternoon Shift

Primary Purpose: To assist the quality control department in meeting and exceeding pre-determined requisites and guidelines through established functional programs.

Essential Functions:

• Print labels for specified shifts
• Perform 1st piece approval process
• Provide boundary samples for all production runs
• Verify correct documentation identified per product / work cell
• Perform label verification process - 1 tote per pallet
• Perform in-process part inspection per DIS (verify frequency per specific product
• Perform LPA audits as scheduled
• Meet as IATF 16949 requirements for your area; step-by step, packaging, quality alerts, and visual aids
• Document detailed summary of shift concerns for the next shift
• Assist with training of new / in-training operators
• Pass color verification (Hue Test). Re-certify at Managements discretion
• Perform tasks with specific measuring devices (i.e. calipers, gages, Macbeth Light etc.)
• Must be able to work the Afternoon Shift: 2:45am-11:15pm.

Qualifications:

• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics and automotive industry
• Basic knowledge of quality control
• Excellent attendance record
