POSITION PURPOSE:
The Partner Solutions Group Operations 1031 Specialist is responsible for daily interactions with the Private Wealth distribution team, Fund Accounting as well as the transfer agent. Additionally, they will collaborate with internal CIM departments and the Operations team. The Sr. Associate will lead efforts among teams and vendor platforms, while also being the primary contact for inquires related to product specifics both internally and externally.
\n- Subject matter expert and working knowledge of 1031 DST and 721 UPREIT structures.
- Oversee 1031 investor closing, onboarding workflow, including subscription agreement review for in-good-order status.
- Reconcile reporting, cash management and analytics for 1031 investor closes with transfer agent.
- Manage daily inquiries from internal sales team members, firms, investors, partners, and other internal parties regarding CIM Funds.
- Support transfer agent, internal and external stakeholders with problem resolution including on-boarding, account opening, maintenance requests and reporting.
- Oversee several vendors utilized as part of the investor on-boarding, reporting and communication process, as well as represent CIM in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Interface with internal departments such as, Legal, Compliance, Fund Accounting, Tax, Marketing, IT, and Internal Audit.
- Monitor recurring requests, analyze reports, and maintain proper procedures that preserve privacy, reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating with advisors/investors to remedy not-in-good-order documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business)
- 4 years relevant experience in the investment management or financial services industry with a focus on investor relations
- Series 7 or Series 99 license preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Industry knowledge such as Custodian, Clearing, HNW understanding, preferred
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and be able to make critical decisions.
- Speak comfortably and confidently with advisors, firms, and investors.
