Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems and be capable of overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations. This role requires someone who can read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, while also being actively involved in troubleshooting and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians (mechanical and electrical).
- Delegate tasks effectively based on technician skill levels and project needs.
- Ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols and maintains high standards of work.
- Provide ongoing training and development to maintenance personnel to enhance team skills and performance.
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and plant operations.
- Maintenance Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are followed and updated regularly.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve equipment issues and improve overall system reliability.
- Technical Expertise:
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
- Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for necessary equipment and supplies.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Implement and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety measures during maintenance work.
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures and reduce downtime.
- Work with management to develop and implement maintenance strategies and upgrades.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to recommend improvements to equipment and processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and blueprints.
- Leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- High school diploma (Associate’s degree preferred); relevant certifications are a plus.
