Position Summary:
The Classification Assembler position is responsible for assembly and preparing several sizes of classification folders.
Position Accountabilities:
1. Assembles the components of various types of classification folders according to
customer specifications and Industries Program standards for quality, production
rate, and safety.
2. Assembles various components using assembly jigs, tape, pre-cut folder pieces, &
snapped folder hangers or other means.
3. Counts, packs, and labels boxes of classification folders.
4. Conducts periodic examinations, visually or by feel, of assembly to ensure they are
being assembled properly. Handles defective materials appropriately.
5. Periodically run a variety of machines for folder production as needed.
6. Performs other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: (including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities,
licenses, certifications, and other characteristics)
- Ability to work both independently and with other team members.
- Navigate independently to and from workstation, bathrooms, canteen etc.
- Enter building independently.
- Must be able to use two hands.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to manually grasp, assemble, and pack products.
- Ability to perform work safely standing and sitting.
- Ability to continuously move hands and arms in a repetitive motion while in a seated or standing position.
Work Environment:
- Light industrial indoor manufacturing environment with minimal exposure to noise or other occupational hazards. Job functions are performed at a seated/standing workstation.
- Approved PPE, must be worn at all times.
- Safety toe shoes required.
