Cincinnati Country Day School seeks dynamic aspiring or early career educators to join our Teaching Fellows Program. Teaching fellows will comprise a cohort of three passionate and knowledgeable educators interested in launching their careers at a leading independent school. Fellows will be welcomed into a rich, robust learning and teaching environment designed for ambitious and creative educators to inspire curious, high-achieving students.


Fellows will be paired with experienced teachers, who will serve as mentors and gradually provide opportunities for the fellow to lead the learning in the classroom. Fellows will be expected to coach and/or lead co-curricular activities. The Country Day Teaching Fellows Program will afford aspiring teachers the space and place to learn their craft while contributing to a thriving learning environment at a premier educational institution.   


As the program is a two-year commitment; the position is for both the 2025-26 school year and the 2026-27 school year. Employment will begin on August 1, 2025.


Job Responsibilities

  • Co-teach multiple sections of a subject area with an experienced teacher
  • Coach and/or lead three (3) co-curricular activities
  • Participate in three (3) or more after-school community events
  • Meet all expectations set forth by the Teaching Fellows Program
  • Engage in the Teaching Fellows Program curriculum
  • Connect with a mentor through regular meetings
  • Partake in new teacher orientation
  • Participate in continual learning opportunities


Required Qualifications

  • Strong desire to work with children/teenagers
  • High academic achievement in undergraduate and/or graduate studies
  • Strong desire to coach and/or lead co-curricular activities
  • Possess an innovative thinking disposition
  • Bachelor’s degree in subject area or related field
  • Successful background and reference checks


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry or professional experience
  • Interest in experiential education
  • Cross-cultural experience


Compensation

  • Competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with an early career educator
  • Housing allowance or tuition reimbursement
