What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Planning Co-Op position at Cincinnati Metro?
The Service Planning Co-Op position at SORTA/Metro is an excellent learning experience that involves exposure to transit planning, transit scheduling, and other innovative mobility-related projects that are underway in the Strategic Planning, Development and Innovation Department (SPDI). This internship will focus on Metro bus stops, ridership data collection, transit service quality assurance and other related service planning tasks.

Job Duties
- Assist SPDI in the field review, data collection, and analysis of bus stop data.
- Assist Metro in the evaluation of all Metro current and future bus stops to improve the customer experience.
- Riding Metro buses to verify service quality, service reliability, and ridership trends.
- Assist in preparation of written reports to support Metro’s short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
- Assist in Planning and Scheduling tasks as related to improving Metro transit services, to include but not be limited to fixed-route, MetroNow! (SORTA’s new On-Demand Service), and Metro’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) development.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
