- Plan, organize and coordinate clinical activities for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students.
- Develop and maintain clinical affiliates
- Coordinate workload and communicate expectations with all clinical instructors/preceptors
- Provide information relevant to clinical practice to the students and clinical sites
- Schedule and chair all clinical instructor/preceptor meetings
- Ensure that clinical rotations cover all clinical skills outlined in the program’s clinical goals and objectives
- Provide classroom instruction reflecting the current college workload guidelines
- Monitor students’ progression and clinical evaluations
- Coordinate the transcription and dissemination of clinical evaluations
- Keep all clinical folders current
- Assure that all clinical contracts are current
- Participate in professional growth activities
- Serve on college committees as appointed or selected
- Maintain current knowledge of sonographic techniques and educational methodology through continuing professional development
- Builds and maintains strong relationships between the program and the clinical sites
- Works to increase the number of placements within the program
- Evaluates students’ skills in scan lab

SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Appropriately credentialed sonographer in Adult Cardiac and Vascular Sonography (ARDMS OR CCI)
- Associate Degree in the field
- At least two years of full-time professional experience as a cardiac sonographer and/or vascular technologist
- Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques
- Documentation of experience in educational theories and techniques may include completed college courses, seminars, or in-service sessions on topics including, but not limited to, learning theory, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology, or assessment techniques.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree
- Minimum of five years of full-time clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field as a cardiac and vascular technologist (RDCS/RCS, RVT/RVS).
