Federal Work Study; Student Worker in Student Services
Overview:
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking a student to work in the Student Services office. This student worker will assist Student Services staff in clerical work and customer service.
Location:
Clifton Campus, 3520 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45223.
Duties:
- Greet visitors in person and over the phone to provide superior customer service
- Assist with planning and setting up events to promote various student organizations
- Assist with creating and posting promotional information on campus and via social media
- Help staff with office duties including scanning documents, sorting mail, and making copies
- Maintain cleanly work environment and a professional atmosphere
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite applications
- Ability to problem solve with attention to detail
- Some experience in an office setting preferred
- Positive attitude and a team player
Minimum Qualifications:
The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED. Additionally, eligible applicants for work study positions at Cincinnati State must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire. Eligible students must:
- have completed a FAFSA for the current school year.
- meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- demonstrate financial need.
- be an active student at Cincinnati State.
Hourly Pay:
$14.00 per hour
Work Hours:
Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week
Office Hours are between Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students may not work during their scheduled class times.
