Overview
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking a student to work in the Career Services office.
Essential Duties
The Career Center is typically open Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. We may have evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday until 6:00pm. The Work Study schedule can be up to 20 hours during these times.
Minimum Qualifications
The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED. Additionally, eligible applicants for work study positions at Cincinnati State must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire.
Status: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
This position reports to the Manager of the Career Center.

- Greet guests
- Assist the Career Center Manager with the management of job postings and office email
- Maintain scheduled office hours and assist with the daily office operation as determined by supervisor
- Assist the Career Center Manager and Student Services Specialist with programming support
- Assist the Career Center Manager with planning for programming next academic year
- Answer phones and take messages
- Post fliers and signage around campus
- Assist with promoting campus events
- Assist with campus events sponsored by the Career Services
- Run errands for staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Some experience in an office setting preferred
- Seeking someone who has a positive attitude, demonstrates flexibility, and is a team player
- Excellent customer service and people skills are a must!
- Knowledge of Office computer applications is important (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
