Helpdesk Co-Op
Overview:
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking a student for the position of, Helpdesk Co-Op. This position provide phone, email, and in person support to staff, faculty, and students on all college owned equipment and software. Troubleshoot computer problems to determine the source and advise on the appropriate action for resolution. Participate in projects, such as computer deployment and migration.
Essential Duties:
- Assist students, faculty and staff with hardware, software, and network related issues on Cincinnati State owned equipment.
- Enter and update tickets with detailed information in Service Desk (the Help Desk ticket tracking Software) javascript:void(0);
- Troubleshoot general computer problems.
- Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user, etc.).
- Advise staff/students on appropriate action.
- Escalate problem to a fulltime lab technician if problem is unresolved.
- Serve as liaison between faculty/staff/students and the technology department to resolve issues.
- Document resolutions for future reference.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills are required.
- Knowledge of college supported applications such as MS Office Suite and MS Windows 7 (Windows 8 encouraged, MAC welcomed)
- Ability to learn and support new applications.
- Intermediate computer skills a must.
- Must be a registered Co-Op student.
- Student must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Hourly Pay: $15/hr.
Co-Op Student: (29 hours per week)
