Job Summary
The Preschool Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and effective administration to foster a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will hold a Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education with emphasis on the education of young children. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years classroom experience. Candidates with director experience are preferred.
Duties
- Maintain consistency at the preschool regarding curriculum, philosophy, policy, and procedures.
- Maintain OCCRRA requirements for staff and program
- Act as a liaison between the preschool Board, the preschool staff, and preschool families.
- Serve on and attend preschool Board meetings, conduct monthly staff meetings and participate on the Auditing Committee.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the preschool Church and coordinate school programs and school calendar with that of the church.
- Conduct visitor tours and be available for prospective family questions. Attend early childhood education conferences and workshops.
