Special Project Student Coordinator
Pay Rate: $14 per hour (FWS only) | $15 per hour (Co-op - FWS)

Position Summary:
The Special Project Student Coordinator supports faculty by assisting with special projects, event planning, marketing, and administrative tasks. This role involves collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special projects, events, and initiatives in collaboration with faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Marketing & Outreach: Create flyers, promotional materials, and social media content to increase awareness of campus activities, experiential learning, and career-related opportunities.
- Student Engagement & Support: Conduct surveys, capture student testimonials, and promote career services to enhance student participation.
- Administrative Tasks: Answer phone calls, take notes, follow up on messages, maintain electronic files, and assist in data entry within a client management system.
- Employer & Campus Relations: Help students find jobs and internships, post internship/co-op leads across campus, and assist in coordinating employer-related events.
- Technology & Communication: Utilize CareerLink, really, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Zoom, MS Teams, MS Forms, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office to support projects, meetings, and outreach efforts.
- Event & Program Assistance: Support orientation programs, discussion panels, and focus groups while coordinating logistics for special events.
- Recruitment & Training: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new student workers or volunteers to support ongoing projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Customer service capabilities and can create professional email drafting skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and virtual communication platforms
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes
- GPA: 2.5
Preferred Qualifications/Course: Marketing, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Sales, Research, Promotion
This position offers valuable hands-on experience in project management, event coordination, marketing, and professional networking.
Federal Work Study Qualifications:
- Must have completed FAFSA for the current school year
- Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Must demonstrate financial need
This position will work between 10-15 hours per week but no more than 20 hours per week.
