Welcome Center Coordinator (Clifton Campus)
Overview
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites applications for the position of full-time, Welcome Center Coordinator. The Welcome Center Coordinator is knowledgeable of all aspects of Cincinnati State and the phases of career exploration and admissions. The Welcome Center Coordinator will easily discern the needs of each visitor to the Welcome Center and help or make a referral to the appropriate office and/or college personnel.
Essential Duties
- Work with admissions administrators to create and maintain standard operating procedures for the Welcome Center. Recommend ongoing process improvement and refinement to ensure the optimal customer/student experience. Coordinate and maintain updates of the Welcome Center training materials.
- Greet and provide quality customer service to all visitors and students to ensure a positive experience within the Welcome Center. Integrate career counseling into the visit experience.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to prospective student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, offering information on college programs, admissions requirements, and services. Provides resolutions to an assortment of academic and administrative problems of moderately complex scope.
- Serve as the lead staff member and primary contact at the Welcome Center desk. Coordinate daily activities and flow of work.
- Collaborate with departments and divisions of the college to ensure consistent and accurate information is provided.
- Assist with directing and utilizing student employees and student ambassadors.
- Work closely with admissions team members to facilitate successful events and provide a seamless experience for prospective students. Plan and execute on-campus, high school visits, including building the schedule, coordinating faculty and staff, and preparing materials.
- Maintain and update prospective student information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Ensure that the Welcome Center materials are current, accessible, and effectively communicate the information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a relevant discipline or Associate’s degree with relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of customer service experience.
- Experience and strong competencies in Microsoft Office suite of business software, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work assigned schedule which may include schedule variations during peak enrollment periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education student services that demonstrate skills in student support services, student relations/customer relations.
- Experience coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of others.
- Experience working with a CRM.
- Multilingual a plus.
