Join our team as an Assistant Distribution Manager and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse and distribution activities.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will assist in coordinating daily operations, mentor employees, and maintain inventory accuracy to guarantee on-time deliveries. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safety-first culture and enforce adherence to company policies.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily warehouse operations, including scheduling shipments, receiving, and storing goods.
- Serve as a backup to the Distribution Manager during absences.
- Mentor and train warehouse employees to ensure high performance.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Manager and Customer Service team to communicate the status of current, upcoming, and future orders.
- Perform physical inventory checks and scheduled cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Address inventory-related issues such as scanning, stocking, and missed shipments.
- Perform monthly audits for UPS/FedEx invoices for Accounts Payable.
- Support corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and promote 5S and continuous improvement efforts.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma required.
- Proficiency in logistics terminology, warehouse operations, and related procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP or inventory management software (e.g., SAP, IQMS).
