We’re seeking a skilled and strategic HR Manager to lead and enhance our people operations and drive initiatives that foster a healthy, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
Position Summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions, from strategic planning and compliance to employee engagement and development. This position plays a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business goals, supporting leadership, and cultivating a positive employee experience across all locations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
Starting Salary Range: $32 - $40/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and growth
- Align HR planning with short-term and long-term business objectives
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and off-boarding
- Ensure a diverse and unbiased recruitment process
- Champion DEI initiatives and promote an inclusive workplace culture
- Lead onboarding efforts to integrate new employees successfully
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address employee relations issues and lead conflict resolution processes
- Coach managers on performance management and disciplinary actions
- Lead employee engagement strategies to foster retention and satisfaction
- Support employee communications and help answer HR-related questions
Compensation & Benefits
- Administer and evaluate benefit plans
- Oversee anual open enrollment
- Manage unemployment and L&I claims
- Respond to court-ordered garnishments and employee inquiries
Training & Development
- Curate and oversee training programs that support employee growth
- Coordinate annual Anti-Harassment Training to all employees
- Promote learning and career advancement across departments
Compliance & Policy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain and update company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
- Serve as the point of contact for legal and regulatory HR matters
Analytics & Reporting
- Use HR data and metrics to inform decisions and improve practices
- Prepare HR reports and quarterly tax/unemployment data as needed
Performance & Succession Management
- Implement and manage performance review systems
- Develop succession plans to build internal leadership pipelines
HR Technology & Recordkeeping
- Evaluate and implement HR software and systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records
Conflict Resolution & Investigation
- Conduct internal investigations and resolve disputes professionally and discreetly
Qualifications:
- 4 years of HR experience, with at least two years in a managerial role preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity
- Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with HRIS systems, benefit platforms, applicant tracking software, and file sharing applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS
