Veterinary Receptionist

Cinema Veterinary Centre is a small animal, 2 Doctor practice in the heart of Santa Clarita. Our patients include dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds and reptiles. We pride ourselves for outstanding customer service and gold standard patient care. We are looking for a team member who is kind, compassionate, conscientious, eager to learn and grow, loves being part of a team and of course hard working. We would love to meet you if you have Veterinary Receptionist experience, or we are even willing to train the right person. Must be comfortable answering multiple phone lines all day. Working on a computer and multi-tasking while talking to clients.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Reception or similar position working with people
- Experience in a veterinary reception role and /or customer service is a plus
- Windows based computer knowledge
- Excellent phone and in person communication skills
- Ability to keep a cash box balanced
- Take payments responsibly
- Represent the company in style, speech and attitude
- Current or former pet ownership is an advantage
- Excellent team player skills
- Patient and caring personality
- Ability to follow instructions properly
- Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles etc.)
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
- Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
- High school diploma required, enrolled in any veterinary programs preferred, cross training available
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 40 per week
