The role of a Director, HR Business Partner:
The Director, HR Business Partner is a key member of the HR leadership team, leading the people strategy for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Organization which is the largest corporate department at Cinemark. The role handles the full spectrum of HR support to the department and is a strategic business partner to the CFO and key Executives in that department. This role will report directly to the EVP-HR, DEI & CSR and dotted line to the EVP-CFO of Cinemark. This role will be based at Cinemark’s corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Be a strategic partner and a trusted advisor to the CFO and other executive leaders in support of the business priorities
- Lead efforts related to organizational design, change management, workforce planning, employee engagement and employee relations
- Support the CFO with key succession plan strategies as it relates to developing key internal talent or hiring of external talent
- Partner with and leverage HR functions like, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning, etc. to deliver on client requests
- Apply creative problem-solving approaches/ organizational interventions to proactively address business needs and people issues
- Utilize HR analytics to help client teams make informed decisions as it relates to people strategy
- As a member of the HR leadership team, build meaningful relationships with other members of the HR staff and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the HR department
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred
- 12 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic HR business partnership role
- Solid understating of U.S. labor laws and compliance regulations
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with business strategies
- Strong communication, influencing, problem solving and leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex employee relations and organizational changes
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in using HR systems and HR analytics
- Comfortable in interacting with Senior executives and employees alike
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills and demonstrated proficiency in executive presentations
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with people/groups of diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in addressing people/ organizational matters
