We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in financial institutions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market systems, specifically in foreign exchange (FX) and derivatives, and possess bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English. This role will be based in our New York office with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence twice a week.
We are looking for someone who is available to start ASAP, with a commitment of 6 months to over 1 year, with potential for extension.
Client (industry) : IT Services
Working Location : New York, NY (Hybrid 2 days / week)
Working hours : 9am - 5pm
Employment Type : Contract, about 140hrs / month
Pay : $58 / hr - $65 / hr
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on projects for financial institutions, contributing expertise in market systems.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both Japanese and English.
Understand and discuss foreign exchange and derivatives-related topics with clients.
Analyze and translate system requirements into specifications for relevant IT vendors, ensuring alignment with client needs.
Act as a bridge between local teams and the Japan headquarters for project coordination and communication.
Participate in IT project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
Leverage experience with database technologies, such as SQL, to enhance system improvements.
Requirements / Qualifications
Native Japanese speaker with business-level proficiency in English.
Proven experience in market systems, particularly in foreign exchange (FX) and derivatives, is highly desirable.
Understanding of financial operations, especially related to foreign exchange and derivatives systems.
Experience with database management (SQL) is a plus.
