Production and Material Control Manager

Department: Operations

Function: Oversee the purchasing, material control and production functions at Circadiance.

Status: Full-time, exempt

JOB ENVIRONMENT

Reports to: CEO

Supervises: Shipping, Receiving, Production & Purchasing

Location: Circadiance HQ, Export, PA

SUCCESS FACTORS

Key Performance measure: Responsible for the timely fulfillment of the production schedule. Must ensure that the production schedule supports the sales plan with minimal inventory investment and no stockouts of the final product due to scheduling problems.

Education requirements: BS in technical or business field desired, MBA a plus. Certification in CPIM a strong plus.

Experience: Five years in material management. Experience with an ERP system within a manufacturing environment is a must.

Abilities: Effectively schedule, organize and communicate tasks relating to material management. Must be able to use personal computer spreadsheets to analyze and summarize data regarding the material control function.

JOB ELEMENTS

• Maintain the quantity and value of the physical inventory of components, work in process material and finished goods.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for the location, size and physical layout of all warehouse facilities under the control of Circadiance.
• Responsible for dispositioning obsolete components.
• Establish the production schedule to support the sales plan.
• Managed the Purchasing function.
• Responsible for all inbound and outbound material shipment to and from Circadiance.
