What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Nursing Assistant position at Circle Center Adult Day Services?
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position works directly with participants, assisting them with the activities of daily living (ADL’s) to provide a structured, safe, supportive and person-centered environment.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.

- Assists participants with mobility and transfers including use of canes, walkers and wheelchairs throughout the course of their day at the Center.
- Assists participants with personal care needs including eating snacks and meals, toileting, dressing, proper positioning and resting.
- Interacts therapeutically and appropriately with participants to help reduce anxiety, promote positive attitudes and motivation to be active and engaged.
- Monitors the safety of the participant environment including sharps, edibles, walkways, equipment and furnishings and reports any issues to Supervisor immediately.
- Monitors the safety of participants who wander, isolate, are fall risks and/or have outburst to prevent incidents through direct intervention or reporting to supervisory staff.
- Monitors and records the vitals of participants as assigned and reports problems and changes to the Director of Nursing immediately.
- Works as a member of the nursing team to ensure high quality care for participants by reading documentation, attending staff and other required meetings and communicating respectfully with other team members.
- Documents the care provided in the Electronic Medical Record system (QuickSilver) in a timely manner.
- Reports any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to a leadership team member immediately.
- Contributes to overall management of program by assisting with supply inventories, participant clothing and supplies, cleanliness, and maintenance of center.
- Special projects and emergencies as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required
CNA license or PCA Certification in Virginia.
Work Environment
Exposed to normal conditions during the workday; exposed to undesirable working conditions intermittently such as moisture and odors relating to the care of participants.
Full-time, days only, M-F hours will be scheduled between 7:30-4:30; no evenings or holidays; 40 hours/week.

Employee must be able to walk and/or stand most of day; to work in reaching or strained positions most of the day; to lift, carry or handle light-weight materials (1-25 lbs. or client-equivalent lbs.) materials half the day, medium weight (26-60lbs. or client equivalent lbs.) materials frequently, and heavy weight (over 60 lbs. or client equivalent lbs.) materials occasionally; intermittent sustained muscular exertion.
