What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Specialist - Grounds position at Circle of Care?
Circle of Care is looking for a part-time, summer seasonal individual to maintain our grounds at our Tahlequah campus. Do you have the desire to maintain the grounds of a large campus? The Maintenance Specialist provides general maintenance and support to staff, buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment that is owned and or operated by the Circle of Care Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain the grounds by improving safety, beauty and function (i.e. mowing, weed eating, clearing brush, edging, flowerbeds, fence and boarder repair)
• Provide maintenance support to the agency’s staff, including the repair and upkeep of the infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment
• Acts as the liaison between the agency and outside professionals for repairs or development of company property
• Keep a service record and conduct monthly inspections on all buildings, vehicles and equipment
• Ensure reasonable care and safe storage for the agency’s property and equipment; purchasing supplies as needed
• Make reports and recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor concerning extensive repairs or special services required
• Maintain the grounds by improving safety, beauty and function (i.e. mowing, weed eating, clearing brush, edging, flowerbeds, fence and boarder repair)
• Assist team in campus holiday decorating including removal and storage
• Maintain a set of master keys
• Travel state-wide to assist at other sites
• Perform all other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Able to communicate thoughts and concerns clearly, both orally and in written form
• Basic computer skills including email, data entry and reading of reports
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Tolerance to work under adverse conditions
• Open to learning and willing to use new skills and information
• Work as part of a team, as well as independently without supervision
• Willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the agency
• Organized and Detailed
• Able to use standard office equipment
• Capable of lifting heavy objects of up to 50 pounds
• Able to operate basic equipment such as tractors, lawn and garden, chainsaws
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 21
• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with two years of experience
• Pass a thorough background check, Department of Transportation check, pre-employment
physical, and drug test as required by the Department of Human Services
• Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License (REQUIRED)
