Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Specialist Nurse to join our inpatient care team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nursing care, support recovery efforts, and play a key role in managing patients with substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders within an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with substance use psychiatric disorders.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Administer medications, including those used in medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families about substance use and psychiatric disorders, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certification in Addiction Nursing (CARN) is an asset.
- Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in substance use treatment, mental health, or inpatient care.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
