Job Description
As our Manufacturing Intern, you will work as part of our Manufacturing Support Center in collaboration with our Production, New Products, and Quality teams. You will be responsible for day to day manufacturing tasks (3D printing, CNC machining, fabrication) as well as drafting designs for an assortment of process improvement and production projects. This will involve instructive sessions with our Manufacturing Support Center lead, where as a student you will receive coaching on problem solving, manufacturing design, and inter-departmental communication around your projects to aid you in completing your tasks and building soft skills.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Draft and design parts, tooling and fixtures for use in production and elsewhere
- Prototype and manufacture parts, tooling and fixtures
- Use and maintain prototyping and fabrication equipment
- Use CAD (Solidworks) to facilitate the above
- Shadow production and quality teams
- Communicate with production teams to assess and modify parts, tooling, and fixtures
- Daily reporting of project status and action planning
