Under the general supervision of the Judicial Support Services Manager, the incumbent provides rotational administrative support to all Circuit Court Judges in the absence of their Executive Administrative Aides. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring operations run efficiently in the judicial office and completing daily administrative tasks. The incumbent must perform with high independence and discretion and possess excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This is a highly confidential and fast-paced role.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Answer and screen telephone calls from the public and court-related agencies.Utilize the electronic filing system (Odyssey-MDEC) to access case files as requested by the Judge.Draft various correspondence including, but not limited to, letters, memorandums, recommendations, orders, and narrative reports.Proofread documents, orders, memorandums, and other correspondence.Maintain accurate records of correspondence and statistical data.Engage in professional interactions with Judges, Magistrates, attorneys, and the public.Work with the Office of Calendar Management to schedule cases.Maintain the Judge’s appointment calendar.Perform other duties as assigned.
