Job Summary And Duties
Provide supervision to all caseworkers and oversee all cases in the Centralized Intake Unit of the Support Services Division. Perform duties under the direct supervision of the Administrator of Support Services.
- Responsible for reviewing all case referrals received by Forensic Clinical Services
- Assign all case referrals to Centralized Intake Unit (CIU) caseworkers for case management
- Coordinate and manage all CIU operations
- Review police reports, medical records, and any other documentation submitted to Forensic Clinical Services
- Assist in preparing monthly data and statistics
- Prepare weekly schedule for Support Division staff
- Provide training/orientation for all CIU staff
- Review all Active Case Logs prepared by CIU staff on a weekly basis
- Conduct monthly Support Division Staff Meetings with Administrator of Support Services
- Coordinate with Sheriff’s Department to confirm daily appointments and delivery of defendants
- Schedule appointments for all cases (custody, bond, DHS, IDOC, etc.) when needed.
- Maintain case management system, FCS CMS, by updating any new data that may be required
- Assist in any/all Support Division duties as required
- Email Court Reports and Summaries to Judges, Attorneys, and Clerks of the Court when needed
- Perform such other duties assigned as deemed necessary by the Director of FCS
Job Requirements
- Prior supervisory/management experience is desirable
- Ability to work well with others, follow instructions, and perform as part of the team
- Excellent work ethic
- Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality policy
- Computer literacy, including demonstrable skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent typing and proofreading skills
- Ability to listen to voice recordings and transcribe the content into properly formatted, professional quality word processed documents
- High school diploma or equivalent requires: Microsoft User certification preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen
- Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk
- Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation
- Lift files and other materials weighing up to 20 pounds
- Use a telephone, dictation equipment, and computer keyboard and screen on a daily basis
