POSITION SUMMARY
The general function of the DUI Court Monitor is to manage individuals evaluated as low-risk level DUI offenders as assessed by evaluators in the DUI Evaluation and Monitoring Program (DEMP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The general function of the DUI Court Monitor is to manage individuals evaluated as low-risk level DUI offenders as assessed by evaluators in the DUI Evaluation and Monitoring Program (DEMP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Monitor offenders referred by the court for a low-risk level DUI charge.
- Maintain case records in accordance with the Department’s policies.
- Monitor offender compliance via telephone and email contact with the offender and with relevant collateral contacts when appropriate.
- Complete drug testing as ordered by the court.
- Perform job duties in accordance with the Department’s policy, practice, and procedure.
- Adhere to department standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and the Code of Conduct for Support Staff.
- Conduct criminal arrest history checks via LEADS and other available management information systems in accordance with policy.
- Collect all fees associated with monitoring the court order, which may include the DEMP Monitoring Fee, the Victim Impact Panel Fee and the DEMP Evaluation Fee.
- Inform the court about the offender’s compliance or lack, per Department policy.
- Build and maintain collaborative professional relationships with service providers to monitor court order compliance.
- Build and maintain collaborative, professional relationships within the Department to ensure efficient operations and service delivery.
- Participate in scheduled group or individual case monitoring supervision.
- Attend required trainings to satisfy the Department’s mandatory training requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
- High School graduate, GED or equivalent experience
- Capacity to sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
- Demonstrate the ability to ambulate throughout the office.
- Capable of intermittently twisting to reach equipment or supplies surrounding the desk.
- Demonstrate skill in performing simple grasping and fine manipulation.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Aptitude to use telephone and computer keyboard daily.
- Available to work in person 100% of the scheduled work week.
