What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at Circuitronix, LLC?
- Order and expedite components parts from outside vendors and internal suppliers to support manufacturing operations
- Partner with cross functional teams to identify lead time reduction opportunities and to improve overall vendor services levels. Negotiate with vendors for the best total price
- Works pro-actively with other departments to mitigate materials defects, shortages and bill of material variances.
- Continually identifies and implements new opportunities for cost reduction
- Assists in the evaluation, qualification and selection supply chain partners.
- Keeps up to date with material prices and market trends while developing/implementing plans to manage through the market changes
- Provide feedback to the purchasing agent and management concerning potential problems that could affect manufacturing operations.
- Will be responsible for additional tasks as assigned by reporting manager.
