Circular Genomics (CG) is a venture-backed biotechnology startup for the development of genomic-based medical diagnostics. Circular Genomics uses novel circular RNA molecules as novel and improved biomarkers to diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions. This new diagnostic technology will facilitate precision medicine for individuals suffering from depression and other psychiatric or neurological disorders.
Circular Genomics seeks an Account Sales Representative ideally located in Chicago, IL to join a rapidly growing team. This position will play a crucial role in growing our brand and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include identifying, engaging and developing healthcare providers and clinical practice staff into customers for our groundbreaking mental health biomarker testing platform
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales:
- Build and develop professional relationships with physicians and thought leaders in the territory to enhance Circular Genomics brand and product loyalty
- Leverages expertise and knowledge of the state of mental health, the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry, and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges
- Develops and implements effective customer specific territory plans and communicates insights to internal stakeholders
- Prioritizes time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential
- Plan and participate in education programs and speaker events and programs
- Manage territory expenses/budget to support sales and marketing activities
Inside Sales:
- Conduct strategic outreach with high frequency to educate customers on products, services and processes; and have the supplies and information needed to successfully order tests, interpret results and leverage services to support patient care.
- Use a combination of cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn messaging and other outbound communication methods to reach your target audience and schedule the required number of monthly sales interactions.
- Secure meetings with key decision-makers and manage a robust pipeline of marketing qualified leads.
- Enter calls, activities and customer information into a CRM and update as needed to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Use sales and marketing automation tools to enhance exposure within target accounts, measure inbound and outbound activities, and monitor effectiveness of personal sales activity.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs or customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study required (or equivalent).
- Minimum of five years of experience in field sales in the clinical diagnostics, LDT or laboratory science sectors.
- Experience with self-pay / patient pay tests and third-party reimbursement.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory including overnight.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other customer-related applications.
- Highly organized and creative.
- Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
- Demonstrated team player.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
