PURPOSE:
The Production Manager is responsible for long-term planning and scheduling are a key for our delivery and customer success. The responsibility of this position will also be to maintain the integrity of the operations team and resolve issues that affect the performance of team members, and provide resources needed to empower members to excel and grow.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

• Develop production plans and schedules to optimize production flow, considering material availability, labor, and demand. Allocate and manage production resources like equipment, machinery, raw materials and personnel to ensure efficient utilization.

• Monitor production metrics like output, productivity, and cycle time to identify areas for improvement.

• Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, supply chain disruptions and quality defects

• Track production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and work within the budget constraints.

• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards. Implement and monitor SOPs to ensure products meet established standards and identify any quality issues.

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the production facility.

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with other departments like sales, procurement, and maintenance to ensure smooth production flow.

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, BS/Ba in business administration preferred

Required Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a production management role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with quality control systems.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions.

Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
