Job Summary

Cirrus’ Customer Experience Team (CET) brings The Cirrus Life™ to our customers. This fast-paced, customer-facing side of Cirrus encompasses sales, marketing, aircraft delivery operations, and Cirrus Services (aircraft maintenance and repair, flight training, aftermarket parts and customer service). Based at our state-of-the-art Vision Center campus at Knoxville’s Tyson McGhee International Airport, CET is the front line of executing our mission: to deliver an aviation experience that is the pinnacle of innovation, quality and safety to our customers

The Financial Analyst will partner with CET leaders on key strategic projects, providing analytical support to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leveraging and improving upon existing metrics, and identifying business insights and trends through related measurement and analysis. This position will also analyze historical spending trends, evaluate different scenarios and help the business team understand potential trade-offs. This position is rife with opportunity to make an impact both at a direct financial level and indirectly through the influencing of processes and policy.

Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Acts as business partner to Business Unit leadership providing financial outlook and performance, actively participating in cross-functional meetings and presenting relevant reporting and documents to all levels of management
  • Participates in preparation of annual financial budgets and updated financial projections as needed to track performance and outlook of projects
  • Prepares actual to budget/forecast variance analysis including identification of headcount, operating, outsourcing and expense savings opportunities, and provides actionable recommendations to leadership as well as identification of potential risks, meanwhile encouraging accountability for achieving forecasted/plan results
  • Supports and validates business plans for new and ongoing projects and investments within the Business Unit
  • Engages in monthly reviews, providing financial insights to key drivers of change and ensuring results are well understood by decision makers
  • Collaborates with Business Unit to make recommendations for scalable business solutions related to planning and budgeting
  • Acts as liaison between business team and accounting department ensuring transactions are appropriately accounted for in the financials
  • Support cross-functional teams with data and processes that proactively recognize changing operations
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis as requested
  • Creates, maintains, and validates reporting tools for analysis
  • Develops ways to automate, visualize, and drive efficiency in reporting, data analysis and decision making
  • Working on multiple projects at a time, this role will focus on the details while simultaneously working to take on high level/big picture challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial analysis
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial forecasts and appropriately represent financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional fast-paced environment and to drive operational initiatives
  • Proficiency and expertise in Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas, data imports, etc.)
  • Experience in using (and preferably developing) data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Curiosity: Demonstrates ability to look deeper and tactfully ask probing questions to identify issues and create innovative solutions. Is comfortable working with ambiguous problems and proposing structure and frameworks to drive results.
