Position Summary
Ciruli Brothers is looking for a mango sales professional to join its team. The Sales Executive primarily focuses on developing business leads and acquiring new customers. This role is also responsible for networking and presenting our value offering to customers, all the while effectively managing and growing sales with active accounts. The successful candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a solid work ethic, and proven sales track record in the fresh produce industry, ideally working with mangos. A successful candidate is also resourceful, driving, and aims to align with the organization’s mission and values to cultivate long term customer relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role.
    • Proven sales and marketing experience in the fresh produce industry, preferably working with mangos.
    • Knowledge of mango varieties, seasonality, global supply chain, and market trends.
    • Prior mango sourcing experience a plus.
  • Skills & Characteristics
    • Demonstrated track record of managing and growing customer accounts and bringing new business to the company.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • A self-starter, able to prioritize and manage own work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Work with high degree of ethics and professional conduct
  • Other
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Famous Software experience preferred
    • Must be able to work in the U.S. and have a valid driver's license
    • Willing to travel as needed.
    • Able and willing to work extended hours, including some weekends
    • Work with a computer while sitting or standing, sometimes for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
  • Work with senior leadership to develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s business plan and strategic objectives.
  • Identify and target potential clients, including retail chains, wholesalers, and emerging channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and sales assets.
  • Participate in periodic reviews of mango category sales as well as customer and supplier reviews, providing insight and recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
Sales & Marketing
  • Manage own sales with targeted accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance compared to annual sales plan.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Model our core values and provide exceptional customer service as a representative of the company, our products, and our brands. Ensure customer needs are met, and high service levels are maintained.
  • Periodically attend industry events and customer meetings to network and promote our products.
  • Collaborate with the operations and customer success teams to ensure a smooth and timely workflow.
  • Leverage team’s collective experience and strengths which includes coordination with staff on packing needs, daily orders, priorities, etc.
  • Anticipate business trends, stay on top of markets, weather, and product availability. Use available information to make better informed business decisions.
  • Support with management of mango inventory, including allocations and coordination with stakeholders across various locations.
  • Support with processing of trouble files, settlements, and aging receivables.
  • Perform other duties or collaborate on special projects as assigned.
  • Learn and champion the company’s available tools and technology to support a data-driven culture.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Participate in employee training programs as needed.
  • Support the compliance team on matters related to new supplier and new customer onboarding, and any recall or traceback exercises.
  • Personally model and abide by food safety and food security SOPs while in the production areas.
