What You'll Do
Work on a flexible team that supports the Collaboration Business Unit organization providing business intelligence through business analysis, data analytics, and data visualization.
Using your knowledge of business, systems, data, people and process, work on data projects providing reporting, process and systems mentorship, and data analysis to meet business needs.
As a Business Analyst, you'll:
- Capture and identify requirements for data and analytics requests
- Extract, transform, load, and visualize data
- Develop, evolve, and automate our monthly reporting package
- Analyze and visualize a range of data from sales data, consumption data, and product telemetry data.
- Present the analysis to a diverse set of customers, partners, team members
- Use SQL Server, Snowflake, Tableau, and other BI / database tools
- Build forecasting and predictive models
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities using data, providing mentorship on data architecture changes and system changes.
- You may work on Collaboration initiatives that may not directly relate to analytics.

Your focus will be centered around analytics and data quality projects, but you will also assist with various projects that may not be analytics based.
You're skilled at aggregating, redefining, analyzing data, automating reporting. You enjoy communicating data analysis. You're have experience in doing self-directed data acquisition, exploration, and modeling, and okay working in a constantly evolving and complicated data environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of data analytics and business analysis experience
- 3 years' experience working with Excel to transform and manipulate data
- At least one year of data visualization experience, working with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other similar tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years' data visualization experience, preferably using Tableau, Looker, Power BI
- Experience communicating analysis and findings to customers, partners, leaders, team members, more
- A detailed understanding of the ETL process, data structures, and general relational database knowledge
- Experience working on large data projects and affecting system changes that impact data
- Demonstrable experience in analytics automation and dashboarding
- Experience visualizing large datasets from cloud storage such as Snowflake
- Service Now dashboard/reporting experience
- SQL Server management experience
- Predictive modeling in Python or R
- Ability to work with a varied community to understand requirements; the ability to "ask the right questions"; a focus on results with strong prioritization skills; understanding of corporate business processes, strategies, needs
- Understanding of collaboration industry, types of collaboration devices, network communications

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
