Responsibilities of the Recruiter entail:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with CIT management, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility.
- Create and foster relationships with community colleges, four-year universities, and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit candidates.
- Attend and participate in recruiting events such as career fairs, presentations, and open houses.
- Provide a complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and positions.
- Conduct interviews with candidates.
- Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, previous job history, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
- Assist with the scheduling and logistics of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Coordinate candidate onboarding, orientation, and creation of safety and system training log-ins.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and organized documentation on all candidates and recruiting activities.
- Participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
- Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in recruiting practices, including utilizing social media and recruiting software to communicate with candidates and source talent.
- Post and refresh jobs on applicant tracking software, social media, and school job boards.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Department to develop an effective and engaging recruiting presentation, post jobs and events on social media, update recruiting materials, and ensure an adequate quantity of interesting and quality company promotional items to distribute at recruiting events.
- Organize all event planning for corporate meetings.
- Assist in conducting exit interviews.
- Process and code all incoming invoices to send to Accounts Payable.
- Manage compliance with federal, state, and local legislation as well as company policies and procedures pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Analyze monthly reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy. Communicate reports and findings as necessary.
- Carry out various human resources policies and procedures for all employees.
- Responsible for entering new hires into the HR software and ensuring proper filing of new hire paperwork.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Assist Director of Human Resources with various research projects and/or special projects.
- Assist other HR team members with their duties and responsibilities as needed.
- General administrative duties including scanning documents, filing, and answering phones.
- Maintain strict confidence in order to preserve the confidentially of all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related area a plus
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
This position requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, and exert strength with arms. This position requires manual dexterity sufficient to constantly work with the fingers. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color, depth, distance, near, and peripheral vision as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
This position frequently operates in a well-lit indoor office setting with heating and air-conditioning with adequate ventilation. Employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally subject to lifting and carrying objects. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. The employee will spend time reading computer screens on a daily basis. Moderate to heavy travel may be required during peak recruiting season with light travel during off peak recruiting season. Occasional weekend and evening overtime hours may be required as necessary to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the Recruiter.
