Restorative Nurse RN

Citadel At Saint Benedict is seeking a Restorative Nurse RN to join their team! The Restorative Nurse RN performs restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities, emphasize independence instead of dependence and minimize the negative effects of disability within the attitude of realistic optimism.

Restorative Nurse RN Duties and Responsibilities :

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs restorative care services, and its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, and other related departments in planning restorative care.
• Develops and maintains restorative care standards.
• Assists the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies
• Assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing restorative care services.
• Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensures that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to the care.
• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations
• Monitors and directs non-licensed ancillary services as deemed necessary to meet professional standards and maintain the highest practicable level of resident care
• Communicate / report information to residents, resident families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required by facility policy and State / Federal guidelines.
• Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures regarding HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) compliance.
• All other duties, as assigned.
