Responsibilities:
- Obtain, organize, interpret and store data to provide technical support mainly for company's reservoir engineers and to some extent their geologists.
- Assists engineers by providing technical support required to perform detailed field studies of company assets.
- Responsible for purchasing technical information including logs, scout information, production data, governmental regulatory data, article searches, locating analog published field data and studies, and building projects in computer software.
- Digitize and edit log data and build base maps for use by technical professionals in performing petrophysical, geological and reservoir engineering studies.
- Assemble, organize and input data into various computer software applications in order to assist geologists and engineers with project building, tracking and management.
Qualifications:
- Five plus years of technician experience preferred.
- Advanced math skills and computer literacy are preferred.
Education:
- High School Graduate (additional college-level training or degrees preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Intensive file reviews and computer software analysis requires vision.
- Significant data research involves moving and lifting boxes of paperwork/data
