Job Summary
The successful candidate will analyze and forecast customer demand by synthesizing multiple data sources (including Sales data), developing forecasting tools and scalable processes to simplify growing business complexities. Collaborate cross functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to forecast customer orders and develop a supply chain strategy to meet those demands. The Demand Planner will also be responsible for analyzing customer trends and developing strategies to maximize customer satisfaction. Conduct analysis as required to support the business unit to include but not limited to: inventory, KPI tracking, and supply chain performance. Perform inventory reviews and analysis based on historical demand and provided forecast data. The ability to think and operate strategically, display creativity and innovation, influence effectively across functional boundaries, focus on the needs of the customer and the business are critical to success in the role. This role requires a strong bias for action and the ability to provide data driven insights quickly and effectively to peers and executives.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree:
- Bachelor's Degree.
The minimun number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
- 3 years.
List any specialized training or unique skills required / preferred:
- Data Analysis Skills (Operational, Financial, Performance Metrics, etc.).
- Mathematical and statistical knowledge Preferred.
- Excellent Computer Skills in Excel and Word; good skills in remaining Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Sharepoint, etc.
- Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and apply standard processes.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Presentation; effective conversations and written).
Job Duties
- Develop effective forecast models based on sales trends and demand patterns.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Participant in process aligned team meetings and activities.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Optimize inventory levels through regular analysis of inventory levels and recommending action.
- Facilitate material disposition/investment recovery, collaborating with Business, Finance, Suppliers.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Monitor and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
