Citigroup Inc is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Lead Analyst to join their team in Getzville, New York. As a senior professional position, this role will drive the generation, analysis, and submission of reports to various constituencies based on requirements such as US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
The overall objective of this position is to apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to directional strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the broader Financial Reporting Team to support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
The key responsibilities of this role include supporting the closing of the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period. Additionally, the Financial Reporting Lead Analyst will instill operational discipline into existing team processes and work with senior leadership on strategic planning, establishing guidelines, implementing controls, and executing strategic plans.
As a technical mentor for an area within the business, the successful candidate will build and maintain a thorough understanding of related product reporting and analytics and utilize knowledge of systems and process flows to provide insight and recommendations on identified issues.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably with global project management experience. They will be able to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
The salary for this role is estimated to be between $92,000.00 and $138,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
